Our Process
1 initial meeting
Contact us for an initial consultation. We’ll discuss your needs and aspirations, the limitless possibilities of your property and explain in detail, such us architect’s plans, timescale, budget and the building process.
2 initial design
You can engage us to organise a site survey, soil test, planning report and concept design on your behalf, for a set fee. These findings are yours to keep. Or Mecca Homes have a range of designs to choose from – giving you plenty of choice.
3 budget and quote
We’ll review your design concept and costing against your specifications and budget and take you through a multitude of options for fixtures and finishes. Our quote will include a comprehensive schedule of fittings and finishes, a realistic timeframe for completion and a copy of the building contract and documentation.
4 cONTRACT & pAYMENT SCHEDULE
A price is agreed in writing before construction commences. Our contract outlines all work to be completed, including supply of materials, etc. Our contract also explains what happens if additional work is added and provides our insurance details. A payment schedule outlines the instalments to be paid as each construction phase is completed. This helps our clients plan how much is due and when.
5 CONSENTing
After you are satisfied with the design, we will finalise your documentation, including drawings, engineering design, and then we will submit Building consent application for council approval.
6 BUILDING
Throughout your build, we will keep you informed with detailed progress updates and images. We take account of the health and safety risks to everyone affected by the work. We are responsible for ensuring all products and materials used on site comply with established industry standards. We ensure they are delivered at the right time, in full working order and are installed correctly.
7 HANDOVER
This is the day you move into your new luxury home! Before we hand over the keys, we will make sure you are satisfied with every single aspect of your home. You’ll receive a Home Owner’s manual complete with warranties, instructions, servicing and cleaning advice, so you can maintain the quality and value of your investment.
8 MAINTENANCE
We will be there to attend to any maintenance issues you may have after 3 months and then again at 12 months after completion. Satisfied clients are our best referral.
